This London Fashion Week, i had the privilege of living and working in London for the duration, being there the week before followed by fashion week. I was working as an intern at JW Anderson (seperate post to come soon) so it was great to be immersed in London during fashion week, there was such a buzz around the city and a hell of a lot of beautiful, well dressed people.
I decided to do a series of posts based on my favourites for the fashion week, as there is always one collection that stands out and pulls at your heart (and purse) strings. My favourite collection of London Fashion Week had to be Simone Rocha, who also happened to have her studios in the same building as JW Anderson (and the Horrors) - so much creative talent in one building!!!
Simone Rocha celebrated her two grannies with an autumn/winter 2013 collection of Pepto Bismol pink skirt suits, nude shifts and tinsel tweed LBDs. - Telegraph Fashion
Simone graduated from her MA at Central St Martins in 2010, so is a very young designer but obviously has fashion in her blood with her father being the famous designer John Rocha. Simone simply says the inspiration behind the collection as "my grandmother". It is a beautiful collection of the most perfect colours and fabric textures.

I love the faux leather skirt, white shirt with leopard print fur collar and matching skirt, acetate-style printed see-through skirt mixed with the lemon fur jumper and the neoprene skirt. Neoprene seems to be everywhere at the minute but Simone's collection really stood out with the colours and the silhouettes used. They are all ultra feminine yet make a statement through the fabric textures. Perfect!
