The Rolling Stones at Hyde Park

Tom and I were two of the lucky people to get our hands on tickets to The Rolling Stones in Hyde Park. The tickets, all 65,000 of them, sold out within a few minutes!!

Anyway, we arrived at Hyde Park at around 4pm and watched a couple bands including Tribes and the Vaccines and had a wonder around the park. The atmosphere was electric, everyone was so excited to see the Rolling Stones from the young to the old. It was one of the hottest days of the year too, making everyone even happier!!

The Rolling Stones hit the stage around 8:30pm, starting with footage of them playing their free gig in the same place in 1969 to 200,000 people (some people in the crowd had been there in 1969 as well as 2013!!). The Stones played pretty much the same set as 1969 which made the gig even more special.

I can't explain how amazing it was to have been there and to have witnessed such a legendary band. It was so surreal i had to keep pinching myself, telling myself that i was standing in Hyde Park watching THE Rolling Stones.

Mick Jagger was amazing, even 50 years on, he had so much energy and really got the crowd excited. It's just crazy to think that my grandad grew up listening to them, saw them as idols and that 50 years on his grandaughter was seeing them play their iconic set in Hyde Park!
The rest of the band were on point too, all just looking like they were having an amazing time.

It was such an overwhelming experience and i would do it all again if i could. To anyone that thinks that the Rolling Stones have past it, or are too old then they obviously haven't seen them live or don't appreciate them for the music they pioneered and the legends that they are.
